Our Jacksonville, Florida facility is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dedicated team. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by managing the movement of goods. This position requires a proficient and safety-conscious individual with experience in forklift operations. You will be responsible for handling inventory, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining accurate records within our logistics network. We are committed to providing a safe and efficient working environment for all our employees.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport materials from receiving to storage locations and from storage to shipping areas.
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Follow all Safety protocols and warehouse procedures.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock verification.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse space.
- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety shoes and vests.
- Perform other material handling tasks as required, potentially including manual Lifting.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift certification and a minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse Safety standards and best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping orders and location codes.
- Physical capability to perform job duties, including occasional moderate Lifting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
- Experience within the logistics industry is a significant plus.
- Commitment to upholding Safety standards in all operations.
