We are seeking motivated individuals responsible for accurately and efficiently gathering products from our warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is crucial for maintaining customer satisfaction and ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution center. As an Order Picker, you will navigate through our warehouse, locate items using pick lists or digital devices, and prepare them for packing and shipment. Precision and speed are vital to meet our productivity targets. We prioritize a safe working environment, and all employees are required to adhere to strict safety protocols and utilize the necessary PPE. The position involves significant physical activity, including walking, standing, bending, and lifting throughout the shift. A meticulous attention to detail is necessary to minimize errors and ensure order accuracy. Teamwork and good communication skills are beneficial as you collaborate with colleagues to achieve daily goals. Responsibilities:
- Accurately select products from warehouse shelves based on order requirements.
- Use handheld scanners or pick lists to identify and retrieve items.
- Verify picked items for accuracy against order details.
- Transport picked items to designated packing stations or staging areas.
- Assist with organizing and maintaining inventory in designated locations.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and orderly workspace.
- Support the overall logistics process by ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Report any stock discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns to a supervisor.
- Participate in inventory counts and other stock-taking activities as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in order picking or a warehouse setting is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and product labels.
- Proficiency with scanning equipment is desirable.
- Capacity for physical demands, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs consistently.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Understanding of basic warehouse safety practices.
