We are seeking a diligent Picker/Packer to join our bustling logistics center in Boston, Massachusetts. This role is central to our operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently picked, packed, and prepared for shipment. You will work in a fast-paced environment, contributing directly to customer satisfaction by ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. Responsibilities include accurately identifying and retrieving products from warehouse shelves, meticulously inspecting items for quality and damage, carefully packing products using appropriate materials to ensure safe transit, and affixing shipping labels. Safety is our utmost priority; therefore, strict adherence to all safety protocols and the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots, is mandatory. This position requires physical stamina, including extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from inventory based on order specifications.
- Inspect picked items for defects or damage.
- Pack items securely using appropriate packaging materials.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare orders for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Meet individual and team productivity targets.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment safely.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or warehouse operations is a strong asset.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift items up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Willingness to adhere to all safety guidelines and wear PPE.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
