We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in San Diego, California. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking customer orders and preparing them for shipment. This position is crucial to our supply chain operations, ensuring our customers receive their products on time and in perfect condition. You'll work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and technology to fulfill orders. Key responsibilities include reading order slips, locating items in the warehouse, using scanning equipment to track inventory, carefully packing items to prevent damage, and affixing shipping labels. Attention to detail is paramount to minimize errors and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. We are committed to a safe working environment and expect all team members to adhere to strict safety protocols. You will be required to wear provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times, including safety vests and gloves, and operate within established safety guidelines. This role involves significant physical activity, including frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting. Expect to lift up to 50 lbs regularly. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order specifications.
- Utilize handheld scanners and other technology to track inventory and order progress.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Carefully pack items using appropriate materials to ensure safe transit.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Meet daily picking and packing quotas.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing role is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and labels.
- Basic math skills for inventory counts.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear PPE and follow safety regulations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
