We are seeking a meticulous and organized Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this critical role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency from the moment shipments arrive. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, verifying shipment contents against purchase orders and packing slips, inspecting items for damage, and accurately recording all received items into our inventory management system. You will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our supply chain by ensuring that all incoming products are accounted for and stored appropriately. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a receiving or warehouse setting, with a good understanding of logistics operations. - Unload incoming shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Verify product quantities and condition against shipping documents.
- Document all received goods in the inventory system.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or damages.
- Stage received goods for further processing or storage.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely when required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, shipping, or warehousing preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Ability to **Lifting** up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to **Safety** and proper **PPE** usage.
- Understanding of **Logistics** principles is a plus.
