Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Slitter Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining slitting machinery to cut large rolls of material into specified widths, ensuring precision and quality. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with CNC and machining processes, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints. The successful candidate will play a vital role in producing high-quality products efficiently and safely.

Duties

  • Operate slitting machines and rotary dies, including CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, press brake machines, CNC lathe, CNC milling machines, and other machining tools.
  • Set up and adjust machinery according to specifications, blueprints, and work orders.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and measurement tools such as calipers to ensure accurate cuts.
  • Perform quality inspections on finished materials to verify dimensions and adherence to standards.
  • Maintain proper machine operation by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and making necessary adjustments.
  • Use hand tools and mechanical knowledge to assemble or modify equipment as needed.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Document production data accurately and report any discrepancies or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating slitting machinery or similar manufacturing equipment.
  • Knowledge of CNC programming, CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, and press brake machines is highly desirable.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
  • Proficiency in using calipers, hand tools, and basic math skills for precise measurements.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
