Calling all skilled operators! Our distribution center in Orlando, Florida, is looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to enhance our logistics operations. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the warehouse. This includes loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods to and from storage areas, and staging inventory for order fulfillment. You will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth flow of goods and ensuring inventory accuracy. Safety is our top priority, and you will be expected to operate all equipment in accordance with strict guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trailers, rail cars, and other transport vehicles.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory levels.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including picking, packing, and stocking.
- Support inventory control procedures and participate in cycle counts.
- Ensure the workspace is kept clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to logistics and warehouse operations.
This role requires a valid forklift certification and a proven track record of safe operation. The ability to perform manual lifting up to 50 pounds is also necessary.
