We are seeking a certified Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in San Jose, California. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, load, and unload materials within our warehouse. Your attention to detail and commitment to Safety are paramount to preventing accidents and ensuring smooth operations. This position involves handling a variety of goods and contributing to the overall efficiency of our supply chain. Proper use of PPE is required at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move pallets, raw materials, and finished goods.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper placement and securement of cargo.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures, including traffic rules within the warehouse.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times while operating equipment.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including manual Lifting and order picking.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or potential Safety hazards immediately.
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance forklift operation skills and knowledge of logistics best practices.
Qualifications:
Valid Forklift Operator certification is required. Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment is essential. Must possess a strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and logistics operations. Ability to perform moderate to heavy Lifting and other physical tasks is necessary. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. Must be committed to upholding the highest standards of Safety and consistently wear required PPE. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team. Reliability and punctuality are key attributes for this role. This position requires a dedication to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
