Join our growing logistics operation as a Shipping & Receiving Associate in Raleigh, North Carolina. This vital role supports the smooth flow of goods into and out of our facility. You will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining efficient warehouse operations. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to Safety are essential. This position involves a variety of tasks including loading and unloading trucks, verifying shipment contents, and preparing goods for distribution. Proper use of PPE is mandatory at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and document any discrepancies.
- Unload materials from trucks, trailers, and other vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Load outgoing shipments onto trucks, ensuring proper securement and weight distribution.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and proficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through data entry and physical counts.
- Prepare shipping documents, labels, and manifests.
- Inspect incoming goods for damage and report any issues.
- Ensure the Shipping and Receiving areas are clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Adhere to all company Safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including Lifting and moving materials.
Qualifications:
Experience in a Shipping & Receiving role or warehouse environment is highly desirable. Must be able to perform moderate to heavy Lifting and operate warehouse machinery. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are critical. Familiarity with inventory management systems and logistics processes is a plus. This role requires a commitment to Safety and adherence to all company policies. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to interpret shipping manifests and documentation. Must consistently use required PPE.
