We are looking for a dynamic Material Handler to join our team in Detroit, Michigan. This role is essential for the smooth operation of our warehouse, ensuring materials are moved efficiently and safely. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, and transporting goods throughout the facility. Key duties include operating material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining an organized and clean workspace. Upholding strict adherence to all Safety regulations and procedures is paramount, as is the proper use of all equipment to ensure a secure working environment. The position involves significant physical activity, including regular Lifting of up to 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods. Experience with pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment is required. A good understanding of warehouse Logistics and inventory management is beneficial. We provide necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as safety shoes and gloves, and expect all team members to use them diligently. Responsibilities:
- Move, sort, and stage materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with cycle counts.
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all company Safety guidelines and procedures.
- Wear and maintain all required PPE .
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse Logistics and equipment operation.
- Strong commitment to workplace Safety .
- Willingness to use all required PPE .
