Are you a detail-oriented individual with a knack for efficient operations? Join our fast-paced distribution center in San Diego, California, as a Picker/Packer. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves and preparing them for shipment. Your precision in picking and packing directly impacts customer satisfaction and the smooth operation of our logistics network. We are looking for candidates who can work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Responsibilities include reading order slips, locating products, assembling orders, and ensuring items are securely and appropriately packaged. A commitment to safety is non-negotiable; you will be expected to follow all warehouse safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role involves frequent walking, standing, and some moderate lifting (up to 35 lbs). Prior experience in a warehouse or fulfillment setting is a plus, but we are willing to train dedicated individuals. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items based on order specifications.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Verify order accuracy before packing.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including PPE usage.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Operate hand trucks or other material handling equipment as needed.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors.
- Contribute to overall team goals and warehouse efficiency.
