Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist in Indianapolis, Indiana. This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, which is fundamental to our Logistics operations. You will be responsible for managing inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing process improvements to optimize stock management. A strong emphasis on workplace Safety is paramount, and we provide all necessary PPE and ensure adherence to safety protocols. While the role is less physically demanding than some warehouse positions, occasional Lifting of items up to 40 lbs may be required for stock relocation or investigation purposes. You will work closely with warehouse management and operational staff to maintain efficient inventory flow. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for process improvement in a warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
  • Implement and monitor inventory control procedures.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Manage stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) and ensure product freshness.
  • Coordinate with receiving and shipping departments to ensure smooth inventory flow.
  • Assist in optimizing warehouse layout for efficient inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledge of inventory best practices and control techniques.
  • Comfortable with occasional Lifting and moving of inventory as needed.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
