We are seeking a reliable and energetic Material Handler to join our bustling warehouse in Orlando, Florida. As a Material Handler, you will play a key role in the movement and organization of goods throughout our facility. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials using hand trucks or pallet jacks, and ensuring materials are stored correctly. This position is physically demanding and requires consistent lifting and manual dexterity. A strong commitment to safety is essential, and you will be expected to adhere to all company policies, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts (if certified).
- Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to order.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
- Ensure all materials are handled safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and mandatory PPE requirements.
- Report any damaged materials or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse staff to meet operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to perform frequent and heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and basic logistics principles.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to wear required PPE at all times.
