Job Title: Structural Designer / Project Coordinator
Location: Edmonton, AB (onsite)
Type: Permanent, Full-Time

The Position:

We are currently seeking a skilled Structural Designer / Project Coordinator to join our client's team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and coordinating the structural aspects of construction projects. You will work closely with clients, engineers, and architects to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

What You'll Do:

• Design structural components for construction projects, including buildings, bridges, and other structures
• Coordinate with clients, engineers, and architects to understand project requirements and develop design solutions
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and calculations for structural elements
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that construction is in accordance with design plans
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
• Manage project budgets and timelines
• Collaborate with team members and provide guidance to junior designers
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in structural design techniques

Mandatories:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in structural design and project coordination
• Proficient in AutoCAD and other design software
• Strong understanding of building codes and regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feet.
