Job Summary

As the Administrative Assistant supporting the Sr. Director of Operations, you'll play a key role in managing day‑to‑day administrative activities for the Distribution Centre. This role requires strong professionalism, excellent organization, and the ability to support a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. You'll partner closely with leadership, employees, and cross-functional teams to help ensure smooth operations across the site.

This position offers competitive compensation, 15 days of paid vacation , 2 floater days (prorated), group insurance from day one , and eligibility to participate in the annual management incentive program .

New graduates from post-secondary Supply Chain programs are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities Financial & Administrative Support
  • Manage financial processes through Ariba , including budget tracking, purchase orders, invoicing, and vendor payment follow‑ups
  • Compile and monitor payroll using ADP time and attendance systems
  • Prepare reports, track metrics, and complete ad‑hoc administrative tasks as needed
People & HR Support
  • Coordinate recruitment, orientation, and onboarding for warehouse employees
  • Support attendance management and scheduling activities
  • Track and administer vacation and time‑off requests for union and non‑union staff
  • Monitor and document workplace injuries, disability claims, and leave of absence cases
  • Provide guidance on relevant components of the Collective Bargaining Agreement , escalating as needed
  • Maintain strong working relationships with local Union Representatives
Health, Safety & Engagement
  • Provide administrative support for Health & Safety programs, H&S Committee, and corporate wellness initiatives
  • Assist with site security processes in partnership with Operations
  • Coordinate local engagement activities and support corporate community initiatives
Collaboration & Communication
  • Partner with peers, regional teams, and home office contacts on operational tasks and corporate initiatives
  • Prepare communications, presentations, and documentation as required
Minimum Qualifications
  • Typically requires 3+ years of related experience
Additional Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of administrative or equivalent experience
  • Post‑secondary education in Business Administration or Supply Chain preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with payroll or time recording software (ADP preferred)
  • Experience using Workday and/or SAP is an asset
  • Experience interpreting Collective Bargaining Agreements preferred
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety programs and WCB processes preferred
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality

$49,500 - $82,500
