4th Accelerated Mathematics/Science Grade Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary School Teacher to join our educational team, specifically to take over a 4th grade classroom for the rest of the school year. The team departmentalizes and this class is two sections of 4th Grade Accelerated Math and Science. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment, engage students in academics, and support their social and emotional learning. This role involves implementing lesson developed using standards and student data, and utilizing various teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.

Duties

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards in subjects such as literacy, math, and physical education.
• Utilize effective classroom management techniques to create a safe and productive learning environment.
• Assess student progress through standardized testing and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Mentor students in their academic and personal growth, providing support for those with diverse needs.
• Incorporate learning technology into lessons to enhance student engagement and understanding.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to develop curriculum materials and share best practices.
• Engage in early intervention strategies for students showing signs of learning difficulties or developmental delays.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; certification in Elementary Education, required.
• FL Elementary Education Certificate OR eligible for one
• Proven experience working with children in an educational setting, including classroom experience or private school experience.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
• Familiarity with behavior management strategies and special education methodologies.
• Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and literacy education is highly desirable.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating independent initiative.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $51, $59,708.00 per year
