Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finish Carpenter to join our residential construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in trim carpentry, framing, and various finishing tasks, with a strong background in carpentry finishing. This role involves working on residential and restoration projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. The Finish Carpenter will collaborate with project managers and other trades to deliver exceptional results on time and within scope.
Responsibilities
- Install trim, molding, cabinetry, doors, and fixtures with precision and attention to detail
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately
- Perform framing work including metal stud framing and drywall installation as needed
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, CNC equipment, and fabrication techniques to complete tasks efficiently
- Apply caulking, assisting in flooring installation, tile laying, and construction painting to finish surfaces
- Handle heavy lifting safely and operate equipment related to carpentry and construction tasks
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with team members on remodeling projects, fixture installation, mold remediation, and other restoration industry tasks
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, and general finish carpentry
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and schematics reading
- Strong background in construction site experience across various trades including masonry, roofing, siding, drywall finishing, and cabinetry installation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed
- Must have excellent time management and organizational skills
- Knowledge of blueprint reading for complex projects involving metal stud framing or remodeling plans
- Experience with water damage restoration or mold remediation is a plus
- Familiarity with the restoration industry standards and practices is desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements
- Must have valid driver's license; reliable transportation required
