Server/Cashier

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced food service environment. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for the food industry, excellent customer service skills, and experience in quick service or restaurant settings. The Server/Cashier will be responsible for providing an exceptional dining experience, handling transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Prior experience with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros, along with food handling and sanitation knowledge, is highly valued.

Duties

• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems
• Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring quality standards are met
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and process payments with accuracy
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
• Prepare simple food items as needed, including basic food preparation tasks
• Maintain cleanliness of dining area, counters, and workstations in compliance with sanitation standards
• Assist with bussing tables and resetting tables for new customers
• Ensure food safety protocols are followed at all times
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly
• Support kitchen staff with basic kitchen or café tasks when necessary

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or retail environments preferred
• Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
• Familiarity with food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
• Excellent time management skills to manage multiple tables or orders simultaneously
• Experience in quick service & fast food restaurants or cafés is advantageous
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and remain calm under pressure
• Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends and holidays if needed
