Compensation: Exempt Salaried-$50,000.00-$60,000.00

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Full-time, irregular working hours Monday through Friday with some on-call hours. Weekends may be required based on customers need.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Fiber Optic Construction Coordinator is responsible for managing internal and client project implementations. The Construction Coordinator will use GTS best practices and methodologies and work with Project Manager and Supervisors on future improvements to project management processes. The Constructlion Coordinator will ensure assigned projects are delivered on time and within budget. The position will be supported by supervisors, technical resources, and administrative resources.
Oversees Client Portal activity for billing. Assigns and monitors client tickets. Work with Operations team within 8-Day SLA's to ensure timely and successful delivery of support tickets and project implementations according to the SLA"s.
RESPONSIBILITIES BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Review the project and scope and assist Project Manager (PM) and Supervisors in the development and tracking of project plans, assigning in-house and sub-contractors to the project. Assist in managing scope while tracking changes through change control.
Schedule project meetings per project plan and/or need.
Communicate with clients on project specific activities, including meeting summaries and action items.
Plan and execute project implementation. Maintain project implementation schedule and related documents for assigned projects by issuing.
Maintain and update product and Due Diligence documentation
Ensure Due Diligence requests are addressed with the most current and appropriate documentation.
With Project Manager and Supervisors, ensure employees and sub-contractors have suitable training, implementation, admin and/or user guides, permits and material resources for the project.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Experience with fiber optic construction project management preferred.
· Experience managing external resources.
· Experience implementing technology projects.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Good computer skills oral and written communication skills
· Problem solving ability
· Consistent follow up on outstanding issues and problems
· Dependability and accountability
· A solid technical base with a desire to learn, to lead, and to grow into senior engineer and project management positions.
· Must present a positive, professional image to employees, customers, and clients in all interactions.
· Have good knowledge of computers, blueprints, permits, white lining etc.
· Ability to work evenings and weekends and on-call 24-7.
· Must have a valid driver's license during term of employment.
· Must be able to pass a nationwide background check and drug screen.
· Must be 21 years of age or older.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
Supervisory responsibilities include managing day-to-day activities of both on-site and remote activities affiliated with the position.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
· Office environment and construction locations, the noise level in the work environment may be high at times.
PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
· Must be able to carry bs.
· Vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
TRAVEL
Traveling from home with multiple overnight stays is required with this position.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Prefer a bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
Pay: $50, $60,000.00 per year
