Bartender

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
• Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner, offering recommendations and ensuring their needs are met promptly.
• Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS or Toast POS for accurate order entry, billing, and cash handling.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and beverage stations.
• Monitor guest consumption responsibly, promote safe drinking practices, and comply with all food safety and alcohol service regulations.
• Assist with food service when needed, including serving appetizers or snacks during busy hours or events like banquets or catering functions.
• Handle cash transactions accurately using retail math skills; perform basic math calculations for change, tabs, and totals efficiently.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a bartender in a restaurant, nightclub, or hospitality setting; fine dining or banquet experience is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Toast POS for efficient order processing.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices.
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and sales tracking.
• Experience with food handling, beverage preparation, serving techniques, and retail math is preferred.
