About Us:
Emily's Kitchen is a growing, locally owned restaurant in Denison. As we prepare for expansion, we're seeking an experienced, high-accountability Manager who can lead our team and help strengthen our operational and financial systems.
Position Summary:
The Manager oversees daily operations, leads the team, and ensures an exceptional guest experience. This role also requires strong financial understanding and the ability to contribute to healthy restaurant performance. The ideal candidate is confident with P&Ls, cost controls, and data-driven decision making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, support, and develop FOH staff
- Maintain a positive, professional, solutions-focused environment
- Oversee daily operations including opening and closing procedures
- Address guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Train and coach staff on service standards and policies
- Maintain cost of sales targets through portion control, waste reduction, and accurate ordering
- Contribute to scheduling, labor management, and staffing efficiencies
- Assist with inventory controls, invoice tracking, and vendor communication
- Review and interpret P&Ls with ownership to identify trends and opportunities
- Help implement systems, SOPs, and improvements as the restaurant grows
- Uphold high standards for safety, cleanliness, and compliance
- Support long-term planning as Emily's Kitchen prepares for expansion
Requirements:
- Restaurant management experience required (2+ years strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of P&Ls, cost of goods, labor cost management, and operational finances
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain calm under pressure
- Dependable, organized, and consistent in holding standards
- Full-time availability including nights and weekends
- Experience building and coaching strong teams
- Growth mindset and comfort in a fast-evolving environment
