Job Summary:

As an Assistant Manager at Foot Locker, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in leading and inspiring a team dedicated to celebrating sneaker and youth culture. You will be responsible for driving exceptional customer experiences, overseeing store operations, training employees, managing visual merchandising, and ensuring asset protection. In the absence of the Store Manager, you will take on all managerial duties to achieve sales targets and maximize profitability.

Duties:

• Coach and motivate the team to deliver outstanding customer service and drive sales - Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by being knowledgeable about products and providing excellent sales service
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet sales, customer experience, merchandising, visual, and operational expectations
• Act as a liaison between customers, sales associates, and store leadership
• Stay informed about product knowledge and current trends to meet customer needs
• Foster a positive and inclusive work environment
• Lead, coach, and develop team members to enhance the in-store experience
• Implement company standards in recruitment, engagement, training, customer service, visual merchandising, and store operations
• Execute plans to improve key performance indicators for enhanced profitability
• Reinforce brand loyalty by empowering teams to create a natural and pleasant customer experience
• Uphold visual guidelines and standards
• Passionately train employees on product knowledge for an enriched customer experience

Skills:

• Demonstrated leadership ability with at least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing sales setting
• Confident in engaging customers to deliver an elevated experience
• Motivated by interacting with customers and athletic products to achieve excellent results
• Adaptable to changing demands in a rapidly evolving retail environment
• Strong cognitive and mathematical skills for problem analysis, decision-making, and financial analysis
• Upholds high ethical standards, values integrity, and fosters trust
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
