POSITION SUMMARY

To support the manufacture of high-quality brake pads in a safe and efficient manner.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (additional duties may be assigned):

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems for all plant machinery, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).

  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults and system malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.

  • Install, test, and support new electrical equipment, ensuring proper connections and system integration.

  • Use analog and digital multimeters, scopes, and other diagnostic tools to evaluate circuits and components.

  • Monitor machinery for electrical performance issues such as overheating, irregular signals, or degraded components.

  • Work with Engineering and Quality teams to implement electrical upgrades or system improvements.

  • Create, track, and complete electrical maintenance work orders in the database.

  • Collect performance and fault data from inspections and maintenance logs to guide repair priorities.

  • Assist with Preventive and Predictive Maintenance programs, specifically focusing on electrical components.

  • Follow OSHA electrical safety guidelines, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and 5S standards.

  • Ensure adherence to industry electrical codes and standards during maintenance and installations.

  • Help source electrical replacement parts and maintain stock for commonly used components.

  • Coordinate with contractors or vendors for specialized electrical services when needed.

  • Support shutdown prep by securing and safely disabling all plant electrical and mechanical systems.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

Associate degree or higher in Industrial Maintenance (Preferred). With 5-10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment. A combination of education and related experience will be considered. Strong knowledge of electrical control systems, automation, PLC work and machine troubleshooting. Experience with digital and analog AC/DC amplifiers, and servomotor repair. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics. Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems repairs (desired but not required).

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work environment involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions (e.g., working around moving machines in production facilities) and protective clothing or gear such as safety glasses, gloves and safety shoes is required.
