Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef de Cuisine to lead our waterfront fine dining restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional culinary skills, strong leadership qualities, and a proven track record in managing high-end dining establishments. The Chef de Cuisine will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and service excellence while inspiring a talented culinary team.
Duties
- Lead and manage all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure exceptional quality.
- Oversee menu planning, development, and execution tailored to fine dining standards and seasonal ingredients.
- Supervise kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management to foster a cohesive team environment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain rigorous standards for cleanliness and sanitation.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs.
- Coordinate with front-of-house management to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
- Oversee events and special functions while maintaining consistency in quality and presentation.
- Implement innovative culinary techniques and stay current with industry trends to elevate the restaurant's offerings.
- Maintain a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Experience
- Extensive culinary experience in fine dining restaurants with a strong background in menu creation and kitchen management.
- Proven supervisory experience leading culinary teams in high-volume or upscale settings.
- Experience in banquet service, catering, or large-scale event management is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and food safety standards is essential.
- Demonstrated expertise in inventory management, cost control, and food production processes.
- Background in restaurant management or hospitality industry roles is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75, $85,000.00 per year
