Forklift Operator

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating heavy equipment, including forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks, to efficiently load, unload, and move materials within a fast-paced distribution environment. This role requires attention to safety standards, mechanical aptitude, and experience with warehouse management systems. Prior warehouse or construction experience is preferred, along with familiarity with OSHA regulations and heavy equipment operation. The Forklift Operator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and cranes to load and unload shipments
• Pick orders accurately using RF scanners and warehouse management systems
• Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas while adhering to safety protocols
• Assist with inventory management by organizing stock in designated areas
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs
• Support shipping & receiving processes by preparing items for shipment or storage
• Handle heavy lifting tasks efficiently while maintaining safety standards
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize material handling operations
• Follow OSHA guidelines and safety procedures at all times during operations

Skills

• Proven experience operating forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment in a warehouse or construction setting
• Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution, order picking, and materials handling techniques
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for inventory control
• Mechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
• Experience with shipping & receiving processes and order fulfillment
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards applicable to warehouse operations
• Skilled in operating pallet jacks and other material handling tools such as construction-related equipment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and safety compliance

Pay: $ $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
