Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
• Assist in menu planning and meal presentation to ensure consistency and quality
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety protocols
• Handle food with proper sanitation practices, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
• Support the team during catering events or special functions as needed
• Ensure timely delivery of dishes to meet service standards
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to optimize workflow and efficiency
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food industry roles such as dietary aide, dietary department, or restaurant cook preferred
• Strong culinary skills including food preparation, cooking techniques, and knife skills
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
• Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food service operations
• Fine dining experience or experience working in high-volume kitchens is a plus
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and attention to detail
• Culinary certification or relevant training is advantageous but not required
