Job Summary:
The Electronic Technician will modify, repair, and improve existing electronic products, equipment, and controls and will assist in developing new or updated electronic systems, components, or products.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for troubleshooting and facilitating repairs on electronic/electrical equipment or machinery for use in manufacturing. May use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform assignments. Responsible for identifying and troubleshooting manufacturing processes, mechanical equipment, machinery, and components.
- Interfaces with maintenance department to identify replacement parts or components as needed.
- Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Applies principles and techniques of engineering to accomplish goals.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
- Primary job functions typically require exercising independent judgment.
- Reports potentially dangerous electrical equipment to supervisor and takes steps to resolve the issue.
- Performs safety checks to ensure design plans are feasible in various conditions.
- May lead and direct the work of others.
- Develops and maintains a high degree of positive employee attitude as applied to their jobs and fellow employees.
- Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
- Will be responsible for back up duties of Maintenance Manager as needed.
- Responsible for other duties as assigned by Maintenance Manager.
Qualification Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- Ability to perform high level math aptitude functions.
- Ability to read, comprehend and practice necessary safety procedures, signs, etc.
- Thorough understanding of electronics principles and design.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Excellent problem-solving ability.
- PLC, HMI and Temperature Controllers' knowledge.
- Electronics trouble shooting, repairs and installations.
- Knowledge of 24v, 110v, 220v and 480v.
- Troubleshooting, installing and programing of VFD's.
- Troubleshooting/repair/installation of relay logic circuits.
- Basic electrical circuitry.
- Multimeter proficient.
- Ability to follow highly complex directions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills throughout the organization at all levels.
- Bi-lingual a plus.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a strong plus.

Education and/or Experience:
- Requires a bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic engineering and/or a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Work Environment:
- This position normally works in a manufacturing environment.
- Hearing, eye and foot protection are mandatory when engaged in activities in the plant.
- Ability to work in 110-degree environment
Physical Requirements:
- Moderate physical activity involved.
- A great deal of walking.
- Lifting required.
- Ability to distinguish various colors of wires and distinguish electronic system sections and wiring.

Pay: $ $42.00 per hour
