Retail Success is looking for a
Quality Assurance Engineer
to join our
Overland Park, KS
team. This position is responsible for performing software and device testing to support software product development and project releases. With a primary focus on testing ByDesign's Freedom software to ensure reliable performance and successful product releases

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required;
  Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science strongly preferred
  .
• Minimum
  5+ years
  related work experience in a
  software quality assurance – manual testing
  role required.

Work Location:

• This position works a
  hybrid schedule (3 days in office/2 days work from home)
  in our
  Overland Park, Kansas
  office. Candidates must reside in the Kansas City metropolitan area or be willing to relocate.

Responsibilities:

• Define, update, and execute test cases for manual tests.
• Generate testing procedures; develop and execute test workflows.
• Test and troubleshoot across various development and production environments.
• Identify defects and document steps to reproduce.
• Write bug tickets in Jira.
• Execute tests in a regression workflow as part of pre-release activities.
• Troubleshoot data integrity, performance, and usability issues in software applications.
• Review logging to support troubleshooting and defect identification.
• Lead the release day test activities.
• Proactively communicate test-blocking and release-blocking to the team.
• Communicate progress, roadblocks, and solutions to the team.
• Meet deadlines as defined by the sprint cadence; proactively contribute feedback in sprint meetings.
• Assist with suggestions on UI/UX design and usability.
• Document test details and oddities for future reference.
• Continually seek ways to improve the quality of all aspects of the software development cycle.
