Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for independently performing complex electrical and mechanical maintenance on various plant equipment, systems, and related machinery panels. This role requires advanced troubleshooting skills and the ability to complete work assignments across multiple production lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and perform complex electrical and mechanical maintenance on plant equipment, systems, and machinery panels.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance using hand and power tools.
- Fabricate necessary parts as needed.
- Assist with other building maintenance or repair activities as required.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards, including current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), allergen/sanitation controls, food defense/food fraud, HACCP/FSMA, SQF, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and document preventive controls to ensure food safety and quality.
- Immediately report all food safety and quality issues to management.
- Collaborate with team members, sharing knowledge and skills across functional areas.
- Support professional development and enhance technical competencies.
- Comply with all workplace safety policies and procedures.
- Promote a strong safety culture by practicing safe work behaviors, reporting hazards, and conducting safety observations.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Advanced knowledge of electrical components and wiring.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480v.
- Skills:
- Advanced mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work from extended heights and elevated platforms.
