Job Summary

In this energetic role, you'll engage with customers, showcase products through demos, and ensure the sales floor is inviting and well-organized. Your proactive approach will help customers find what they need while upselling relevant items to enhance their purchase. Whether assisting bilingual shoppers or managing transactions at the POS (Point of Sale) system, you'll be at the heart of our retail operation, delivering exceptional service every day.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to foster loyalty and satisfaction
• Assist customers in selecting products, offering product demos to highlight features and benefits
• Operate POS systems efficiently for cash handling, credit card processing, and receipts issuance
• Upsell complementary products by understanding customer needs and promoting relevant items
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability
• Conduct inventory checks, manage stock levels, and assist with stock replenishment to keep the sales floor inviting
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when responding to inquiries or assisting remote customers
• Support the store's visual presentation through merchandising and signage updates
• Supervise or assist in supervising team members during shifts to ensure smooth operations
• Engage in basic retail math for transactions, discounts, and inventory management tasks

Experience

• Previous retail sales experience is preferred but not required; a strong desire to learn and grow is essential
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and retail math enhances your effectiveness in this role
• Bilingual skills are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively
• Experience in grocery stores or similar environments is advantageous but not mandatory
• Demonstrated communication skills that foster positive customer interactions and teamwork
• Supervising experience is beneficial for those interested in leadership opportunities within retail settings
