Position Purpose:

• The Supervisor/Inspector will oversee all aspects of quality and compliance during the fabrication of steel tower sections for wind turbine projects.
• Provide on-site supervision during fabrication, ensuring adherence to approved welding procedures, welder qualifications, and inspection requirements.
• Oversee and verify NDT activities, including inspector qualifications, procedure compliance, and accurate reporting.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections to validate product conformity and fabrication accuracy.
• Monitor and verify surface preparation and shot blasting processes for quality and consistency.
• Inspect and confirm painting and coating operations meet project and specification requirements.
• Conduct final inspections of internals and completed sections prior to dispatch.
• Prepare and issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring proper documentation and follow-up for corrective actions.
• Collaborate with plant personnel and quality teams to maintain safety, quality, and production objectives.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years involved in windmill fabrication.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a mechanical inspector.
• Qualification desirable: Welder inspection; NDT Levels II; Frosio N-II
