We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice to join our team in Orlando, FL. This entry-level position is designed for individuals who are eager to learn the specialized skills required in the design, assembly, and maintenance of parachute and defense textile systems. The apprentice will receive hands-on training from experienced technicians, engineers, and quality specialists to develop technical expertise and an understanding of defense manufacturing standards.
Reporting Relationship:
The Apprentice shall report directly to the Production Manager of PARADIGM.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist with the fabrication, assembly, and inspection of parachute systems and related defense products.
- Operate and maintain industrial sewing machines and other production tools under supervision.
- Support materials handling, inventory, and documentation in compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure production schedules and quality benchmarks are met.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Must be able to speak and understand English.
- Ability to lift and move moderate-weight materials safely.
- Ability to stand for 8+ hours a shift.
- Dependable, punctual, and eager to learn in a hands-on environment.
- Has a high school diploma or GED.
