Overnight Direct Support Professional

(Not a remote job) DSP help those we serve live their best lives and have fun while doing so. As a DSP your main goal is to empower our individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live active and fulfilling lives in their local community. Our main office is located in Nanty Glo PA. Still, we are hiring for the areas where the individuals we work with live, such as Somerset, Indianan, Westmoreland, Bedford, Altoona, and expanding areas.

Responsibilities of a DSP include but are not limited to:

Applicants must have a genuine desire to help others achieve their goals and provide support in their everyday life. Experience is a plus, but not necessary. We offer paid training classes for new employees and ongoing training throughout our services. Opportunities to advance with paid certification from CRB.

The primary functions are:

• To teach, support and maintain skills, behavior, social and recreational, and incidental programs.
• To provide direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities in residences, family in the community settings
• Maintain accurate documentation regarding progress notes, timesheets, and other required documentation.
• Communicate with other staff and management in a professional manner.
• Provide updated information in a timely manner to meet state and federal guidelines.
• Complete all required and ongoing training as needed.
• Ensuring the health, safety and well-being of individuals at all times to help maintain person centered living.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill and ability required.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must pass required background checks and clearances (Criminal, FBI, Child Abuse Clearances, etc.)
• Valid Driver's License
• Valid vehicle registration
• Valid vehicle insurance
