Dental Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting the dental team in delivering effective treatments. This position requires excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment before and after use.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records using systems like CareStack or Dentrix.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Manage appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups.
• Conduct inventory management of dental supplies and materials.
• Support periodontic patients with care tailored to their needs, ensuring a comfortable experience.
• Assist in periodontic procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred.
• Proficiency in using dental software systems such as CareStack, or Dentrix is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of anatomy, medical coding, and medical documentation is beneficial.
• Familiarity with 3D scanning technology is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate clearly with patients and team members.
• A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to safety protocols.
• Experience or interest in periodontics is advantageous.
