Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Human Resources to lead our HR initiatives and foster a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace environment. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of human capital management, employment law, and organizational development. This leadership role requires a proactive approach to talent management, employee relations, and HR process optimization, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals, including talent acquisition, succession planning, and workforce development.
- Oversee employee relations, conflict management, and employee engagement initiatives to promote a positive work culture.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations such as FMLA, OSHA, Workers' Compensation, and labor standards.
- Manage HRIS systems including Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro, Taleo, Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, Paylocity, and Dayforce for data collection and reporting.
- Lead performance management processes including employee evaluation systems and training & development programs.
- Administer benefits programs such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits while ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
- Supervise HR sourcing activities including recruiting strategies and interviewing processes utilizing ATS platforms.
- Oversee HR program management such as onboarding (employee orientation), organization design, change management initiatives, and process improvement efforts.
- Provide leadership in HR budgeting and strategic planning to support organizational growth.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop policies related to employment contracts, labor negotiations, and HR compliance standards.
- Manage payroll administration through systems like Paychex or Workday ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Experience
- Proven experience in senior human resources management roles with a minimum of 8–10 years of progressive responsibility in HR leadership.
- Demonstrated expertise in employment & labor law compliance (FMLA, OSHA), benefits administration, performance management, and employee relations.
- Supervising experience leading HR teams or departments effectively across multiple functions such as talent acquisition, training & development, and organizational design.
- Strong negotiation skills for labor contracts or vendor agreements related to HR services.
- Extensive knowledge of HRIS platforms including Workday, Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP/Paychex/Paylocity systems; data analysis skills are highly desirable.
- Experience working with senior leadership on strategic planning initiatives such as succession planning and change management projects.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences. Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
