We are seeking a diligent Order Picker to join our growing logistics team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting products from our warehouse inventory to fulfill customer orders. Your precision and speed directly impact our ability to meet customer demands and maintain high satisfaction levels. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to workplace safety. You will be an essential part of our operational chain, ensuring that products are picked correctly and prepared for shipment in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order sheets and RF scanner guidance.
- Verify product details and quantities against order specifications before proceeding.
- Transport picked items to the packing station or designated staging area.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring aisles are clear and stock is tidy.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks safely.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as directed.
- Follow all company Safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Meet established productivity and accuracy standards for order picking.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
- Participate in team activities and contribute to a positive work atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is advantageous.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Willingness to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to adhering to Safety protocols and wearing required PPE.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual attendance is required.
