We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This leadership position is central to the efficient and safe operation of our distribution center. The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee daily warehouse activities, manage staff, ensure productivity targets are met, and maintain high standards of safety and operational excellence. You will be responsible for training and mentoring warehouse associates, implementing operational procedures, and resolving any issues that arise. A strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management is essential, as is a proven ability to motivate a team. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to handle moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs) and manage inventory effectively. The ideal candidate will be adept at enforcing safety protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and promoting a culture of safety throughout the warehouse. Responsibilities include:
- Supervising and coordinating the activities of warehouse staff.
- Ensuring efficient receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Setting daily operational goals and monitoring team performance.
- Training new employees and providing ongoing coaching.
- Implementing and enforcing safety policies and procedures.
- Managing inventory levels and conducting regular audits.
- Optimizing warehouse layout and space utilization.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Troubleshooting operational issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Liaising with other departments to ensure smooth logistics flow.
