We are seeking dedicated Material Handlers to join our logistics team in the vibrant city of San Diego, California. In this role, you will be instrumental in the smooth operation of our warehouse, ensuring the efficient movement and organization of materials. Your responsibilities will include receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods. This position demands physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety. You'll work in a dynamic environment, utilizing various equipment to manage inventory and fulfill orders. We provide comprehensive training, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), to ensure a safe working environment for all. This role is a key component of our overall supply chain and logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming inventory, verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Accurately store materials in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Pick items from shelves according to order specifications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Pack orders carefully to prevent damage during transit.
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all established protocols.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock checks as required.
- Load outbound shipments efficiently and securely.
- Follow all company policies regarding Safety and Material Handling.
- Understand and apply basic Logistics principles.
- Ability to handle frequent and significant Lifting of materials.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is advantageous.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jack) is required; forklift certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and proper use of PPE.
- Excellent physical condition, with the ability to perform consistent Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Understanding of basic Logistics concepts.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and efficiency.
