We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for our Seattle, Washington facility. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the warehouse, loading and unloading trucks, and assisting with inventory management. This role is essential to the smooth operation of our logistics and distribution processes. A commitment to safety, precision, and reliability is paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other powered industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the warehouse.
- Stack and stage products in designated areas.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on all equipment and report any defects.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Wear appropriate PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Valid forklift certification required.
- Proficiency in material handling techniques and warehouse safety protocols.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations and inventory control.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
