We are actively recruiting for a skilled Forklift Operator in Jacksonville, Florida. This role is crucial for the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will also be involved in loading and unloading trucks, assisting with inventory management, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. A strong commitment to safety is paramount; you will be expected to adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift certification, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment. Physical stamina is important, as the role involves periods of standing and potentially some lifting. Experience in a warehouse setting is highly desirable. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Transport products to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and verification.
- Maintain the forklift and work area in a clean and organized manner.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE.
