Position Overview

We are currently seeking compassionate and reliable Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to join our team at a reputable retirement home in Mississauga, Ontario. This is a part-time opportunity with availability required across all days of the week, making it ideal for candidates seeking flexible scheduling.

In this role, you will assist residents with daily living activities, promote independence, and help maintain a safe, respectful, and caring environment.

Retirement Home – Mississauga, ON

Compensation

$19–$21 per hour

Job Type

Part-Time

Shifts Available
  • Day: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Evening: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • Night: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Availability Required: Monday to Sunday

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, and activities of daily living
  • Support residents with mobility, transfers, and ambulation
  • Provide emotional support and build positive, respectful relationships
  • Observe and report changes in residents physical or mental condition
  • Complete accurate documentation in accordance with facility policies
  • Collaborate with nurses and the healthcare team to ensure quality care
  • Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times
Job Requirements
  • PSW certificate from a recognized program
  • Previous experience in a retirement or long-term care setting is an asset
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills
  • Physically able to perform care tasks, including lifting and mobility assistance
  • Compassionate, patient, and resident-  centered approach
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Flexible availability across all days of the week
