*Summary*
Nectar Allergy and Asthma is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Union Square clinical team. This role is essential to delivering safe and high-quality allergy care. You will support patient flow, provide hands-on nursing care, and help advance our mission of modernizing allergy treatment.
*Responsibilities*
* Perform *patient rooming*, including intake, vitals, medication review, and *collecting the HPI* for clinician evaluation.
* Administer allergy immunotherapy injections and monitor patients during the full post-injection observation period.
* *Prepare and mix allergy immunotherapy vials* following strict safety and clinical protocols.
* *Recognize and manage anaphylaxis*, including use of emergency medications and adherence to clinical emergency procedures.
* Administer medications and treatments as ordered by clinicians.
* Monitor vital signs and promptly communicate significant changes to the care team.
* Educate patients on allergy management, immunotherapy schedules, and treatment expectations.
* Maintain accurate, compliant documentation in the EHR.
* Collaborate with physicians, NPs, PAs, and support staff to ensure efficient, coordinated care.
* Provide compassionate care to patients of all ages.
*Requirements*
* Active LPN license in New York State.
* Experience in allergy care *or* primary care and pediatrics.
* Strong communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
