Position Summary
The Sales Representative is responsible for supporting existing customers, managing referral-based opportunities, and guiding clients through the complete sales process from initial inquiry through project delivery. This role focuses on building long-term relationships, understanding customer needs, and ensuring each project is designed, priced, and coordinated with engineering and production teams to meet the highest standards of quality and service. The Sales Representative responds to inbound requests, nurtures repeat accounts, prepares accurate proposals, and ensures a smooth transition from sales to production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospecting & Lead Generation: Identify, pursue, and qualify new leads in the commercial, industrial, residential and agricultural markets.
- Client Consultation: Work with customers to understand their project goals, provide product recommendations, and deliver professional sales presentations.
- Technical Sales Support: Work with engineers and internal teams to determine structural requirements, provide technical insights, and ensure accurate building specifications.
- Proposal & Quoting: Prepare competitive and accurate proposals, estimates, and bid packages tailored to client specifications.
- Contract Negotiation & Closing: Negotiate terms, finalize agreements, and close sales while maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Project Coordination: Act as the main point of contact between clients and internal teams (engineering, production, logistics) to ensure a seamless process from sale to delivery.
Qualifications:
- Proven success in B2B sales, preferably in construction, metal buildings, or industrial manufacturing.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer relationship skills.
- Working knowledge of construction methods, metal building components, and blueprint reading.
- Proficiency with MBS software preferred; familiarity with CAD or construction design tools is a plus.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- 2–5 years of sales experience in construction, manufacturing, or related fields preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field preferred but not required.
