HVAC Engineer/Maintenance

It is the responsibility of the Engineer to perform project maintenance and repair work on all mechanical, and electrical issues. All duties are to be performed in accordance with federal, state, local laws, regulations, and ordinances, as well as department and Company policies, practices, and procedures. Performs routine to complex maintenance and repair work on all mechanical, plumbing, electrical and all other general maintenance.

• General knowledge of all tools related to HVAC.
• Ability to braze Copper piping.
• General knowledge on how to recover refrigerants, vacuum systems, and recharge refrigerants.
• General knowledge of how to change out fan motors, and clean coils.
• General knowledge of package units, and split systems.
• Receives and responds to maintenance calls from Manager, hotel, casino, guests, and other departments.
• Troubleshoot and repairs HVAC equipment.
• Assesses and performs general repairs on Standard HVAC Equipment.
• Works with power ranging from low to medium voltages.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems, motor controls.
• Operates and maintains appropriate tools and equipment daily for troubleshooting/repairs on property.
• Keeps informed and updated on current techniques and technical methods.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area and is constantly aware of safety and accident prevention.
• Drives and operates company vehicles to and from various De Simone Gaming properties.
• Responds to and resolves guest complaints in a timely manner and creatively solves problems with the ability to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and resolve potential difficulties.
• Ensures the privacy and confidentiality of guests and limits requests for information pertaining to guests in accordance with hotel policies.
• Performs all other job-related duties as assigned.

Required:

• High School diploma and equivalent.
• Three (3) years of experience in at least one of the following related trades as they pertain to HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, certified locksmith, upholstery, welding and fabrication, floor covering, or pool operator.
• Three (3) years of experience with a casino and/or hotel resort operation or similar setting.
• Three (3) year DMV driving history printout. Preferred:
• Ideal job for new technician breaking into the HVAC industry.
• General Handyman abilities.
• OSHA certification
• Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
