Bungalow is seeking an exceptional Assistant Manager to help support our sales leadership team and elevate the client experience across furniture, décor, and boutique fashion.

Requirements

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As Assistant Manager, you'll help guide daily operations, champion customer experience, and support the Sales Manager and Ownership team. You're a steady presence on the floor — keeping the team aligned, the energy positive, and the client experience exceptional.


LEADERSHIP + TEAM SUPPORT
  • Support daily leadership of the sales team to ensure communication, consistency, and accountability.
  • Coach, motivate, and inspire team members to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new associates.
  • Uphold Bungalow's service standards and model warm, genuine client engagement.
SALES + CLIENT EXPERIENCE
  • Demonstrate strong selling skills across home furnishings, décor, and boutique fashion.
  • Build long-term client relationships through outreach, follow-up, and styling support.
  • Maintain deep product knowledge and stay informed of new arrivals and vendor offerings.
  • Ensure every client receives an elevated, personalized shopping experience.
OPERATIONS + STORE STANDARDS
  • Oversee daily store operations including opening, closing, and point-of-sale processes.
  • Support inventory management, restocking, and organization of the showroom.
  • Maintain and enforce visual and aesthetic standards created by the Visual Merchandising team — ensuring the store remains tidy, styled, and true to the Bungalow brand.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow, efficiency, and the customer journey.
STRATEGY + EXECUTION
  • Support execution of short- and long-term sales strategies.
  • Provide feedback on customer behavior, product performance, and operational needs.
  • Help solve challenges quickly and gracefully, keeping the store running smoothly.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate is people-centered, proactive, and thrives in a highly visual, service-driven environment.

You should have:

  • 2–5 years of retail management or key-holder experience, ideally in home, fashion, or lifestyle.
  • Passion for interior design, fashion styling, or both.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience driving sales and supporting team performance.
  • Ability to multitask with warmth and composure.
  • A proactive mindset and a genuine desire to help grow a small business.
