Construction Estimator

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing bid proposals, and supporting project planning efforts. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and pricing strategies to ensure competitive and profitable bids. The Construction Estimator will collaborate closely with project managers, administration, and subcontractors to deliver precise estimates that align with project scope and budget.

Responsibilities

• Cost Calculation: Prepare detailed budgets, labor, material, and equipment cost estimates.
• Document Analysis: Review blueprints, plans, and specifications for accurate takeoffs and scope definition.
• Subcontractor Management: Gather quotes, prepare scopes of work, and build vendor relationships.
• Bid Preparation: Create and submit comprehensive bid proposals and cost reports.
• Risk & Schedule: Assess project risks and help prepare pre-construction schedules.
• Reporting: Write and present budget reports and cost analyses.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction estimating
• Proficiency in Builder Trend or ability to learn quickly
• Strong understanding of construction site operations
• Ability to perform detailed quantity take-offs and cost analysis accurately.
• Knowledge of cost control techniques and pricing strategies within the construction industry.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• Strong math, detail orientation, and problem-solving.

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
