Van Dyke & Associates, APLC is a growing San Diego law firm focused on complex trust, probate, and estate litigation. We represent trustees, beneficiaries, and fiduciaries in high-stakes disputes involving financial elder abuse, contested accountings, undue influence, and trust administration.

We're seeking a litigation-minded associate attorney with 1–3 years of experience—ideally in probate or civil litigation—who's eager to take ownership of meaningful cases, work closely with partners, and appear in court occassionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft and argue motions, oppositions, and discovery pleadings.

• Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.

• Manage written discovery and coordinate document productions.

• Develop case strategies in collaboration with partners and clients.

• Prepare trial exhibits, witness outlines, and settlement briefs.

• Appear for hearings, mediations, and trials in probate and civil court.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

• Active California Bar membership in good standing.

• 1–3 years of litigation experience (trust & estate preferred).

• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.

• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a team environment.

Why Join Us

• Competitive salary ($135,000–$155,000 DOE)

• Annual performance-based bonuses

• Health, dental, and vision benefits

• Paid time off and firm holidays

• Collaborative, growth-oriented team culture with direct partner mentorship

If you're a motivated litigator ready to grow your courtroom and client-management skills in a specialized, high-impact practice, we'd love to meet you.
