Outova, headquartered in the Dallas/Fort Worth (Texas), is seeking a talented Corporate Controller to join the team.
Position Overview:
The
Corporate Controller
is a senior leadership role responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of multiple businesses under the company's portfolio. This includes ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust internal controls, overseeing budgets, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management and Reporting:
- Consolidate and prepare accurate financial statements for all businesses within the company's portfolio.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes across all entities.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Develop and monitor annual budgets for each business unit.
- Conduct financial forecasting and provide variance analysis to leadership teams.
- Identify areas for cost optimization and recommend strategies to improve financial performance.
Internal Controls and Compliance:
- Design, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure operational efficiency.
- Lead audits (internal and external) and ensure timely resolution of any findings.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations across all business entities.
Leadership and Collaboration:
- Manage and mentor the accounting and finance teams across multiple businesses.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior management, providing insights on financial performance and trends.
- Collaborate with other departments, including operations and sales, to align financial goals with overall business objectives.
Cash Flow and Treasury Management:
- Oversee cash flow management to ensure adequate liquidity across all businesses.
- Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and financing arrangements.
System Integration and Process Improvement:
- Evaluate and implement financial systems to streamline reporting and improve efficiency.
- Standardize accounting procedures across all business units to ensure consistency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience managing the finances of multiple business units or entities is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Physical Activities:
- Daily activity includes but is not limited to:
- Lifting, carrying, sitting, grasping, reaching, standing, kneeling, walking, bending, twisting.
- Reading, communication, math.
- Standing on a fatigue mat in a specific area throughout a 10 hour+ shift.
- Be able to regularly lift/move up to 50lbs.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to above moderate.
