Controller
to join our growing organization and oversee all aspects of financial operations.
The
Controller
is a key member of the leadership team responsible for managing accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, audits, cash flow, and internal controls. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and transparency within Jet Health's financial processes while providing strategic financial insights to support business decisions. The ideal candidate will have healthcare industry experience and thrive in a fast-paced, multi-state environment.
Requirements
- Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, A/P, A/R, payroll, and cash management.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes across the organization.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with state, federal, and healthcare regulations.
- Manage financial audits, tax filings, and external reporting requirements.
- Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to executive leadership.
- Oversee revenue cycle processes and collaborate closely with operations leadership.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members.
- Support M&A due diligence, integration activities, and financial modeling as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Healthcare, home health, or hospice industry experience highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
- Experience with multi-entity, multi-state operations preferred.
- Proficiency with accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage deadlines, and work collaboratively with cross-functional leaders.
