Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, excellent customer relations skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests have a memorable dining experience in a fine dining or lively hospitality setting. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems are highly valued. The Server will play a key role in maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
• Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Serve food and drinks promptly while adhering to proper food handling and sanitation standards
• Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and resetting tables for new guests
• Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including processing payments and making change
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any special dietary needs or requests
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and wine pairings to provide expert recommendations
• Foster positive guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and professionally

Experience

• Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or upscale restaurants
• Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms is advantageous
• Experience with food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures is essential
• Background in hospitality roles such as host/host or bussing can be beneficial
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
• Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and billing purposes
• Knowledge of upselling techniques to enhance guest experiences and maximize sales potential
